Nokia has been forced to stop all sales of its Lumia 2520 tablet in the UK and other European countries over fears of a serious fault. The charger units for the tablets have a fault that can cause an electric shock, should the plastic cover of some of the AC-300 charger units come loose.

Obviously exposing internal components is never a good idea for a consumer product, so Nokia has taken the wise step of taking this issue very seriously indeed. As such, it is suspending sales until the fix has been rolled out. It's worth noting that there have been no reports of any actual incidents involving the product, which is good news. However, given that this is a warning laid down on tens of thousands of chargers around the world, it's obviously a major problem that needs addressing. If you own one, head for the Nokia website for more updates on this.
